Our Experimental Study on Curved Photovoltaic Modules Published in Renewable Energy
The study titled Experimental Performance Assessment of Curved PV Modules for Vehicle-Integrated Photovoltaic Systems, conducted by TESS-G researchers in collaboration with Huseyin Gunhan Ozcan from Bahcesehir University, was published in Renewable Energy.
Conducted by Semir Sunkun under the supervision of Huseyin Ayhan Yavasoglu, with contributions from Berke Ogulcan Parlak and Huseyin Gunhan Ozcan, the experimental research investigates changes in the electrical performance of flexible photovoltaic modules integrated onto curved vehicle surfaces.
A dedicated experimental platform with adjustable panel curvature was developed, together with a data acquisition system for synchronized monitoring of solar irradiance, ambient temperature, and electrical parameters. Measurements collected under real outdoor conditions were analyzed using statistical methods to model the effects of curvature on power generation and compare the findings with theoretical approaches.
